Great video! Let's play the name game. I spotted a young Kevin Briscoe and possibly Ray Morgan in a red and white 7m. Anybody else??

I was there that night. Never forget Sammy trying to win on the first lap and someone??? Flipping down the backstretch. I think I saw Todd Shields in a white 56, and Gary Hayhurst in the yellow 56. Not sure but thought I saw Mark Cummins on the tail in his blue and pink 3c sponsored by Engler Machine and Tool. He was track champion in 1991I think? I will ask him tomorrow.

I was there, think that was Herrera flipping with Sammy, but not sure they changed rides a lot then and now. Briscoe in the red 5 and Morgan in the red 7 sounds right. Saw Ricky Hood in infield when Steve pulls off. Stannard's 64 car, Shields, Hayhurst, and I think I saw JC Sulawske's 51. Might have been Cummins back there too, but camera doesnt stay still long. Fondly remember Briscoe and Hayhurst winning their heats one year which was about as good as you could do then, as the outlaws would just run over you or through you in the feature. Seems like Sammy always found a way to screw up at Haubstadt, even though he was always fastest there in those days.

The #49 that Doug Wolfgang drove in this video was owned by Max Rogers. Wolfgang drove the H.U.D. car in ’89. It was a white #8d owned by Danny Peace.

Great video.

My dad was in the 5 that race. He drove for Stannard the second half of 91 and the first half of 92.
