He Gang,,, This is Tim Wolfe,,aka /Wolfe-e of the WolfPack Challenge Days..... Trying to get an Idea of what the Mod car counts are these days and what most of you think of possibly puting togather a few WolfPack Shows for next season... ?a,, is there interest,, and ?b,, are there enough cars these days to make it work... It would take at least those two things before we could ever sell the idea to the tracks... and of course, finding Sponsors that are willing to help.... Just a thought for now,, I will have time to devote to things, if there is support for the idea... Thanks.... and as I use to say...wanna race....Wolfe-e

The only thing drawing these days for Modifieds is the American Modified Series, and the bigger shows paying $3K to win.

Brownstown BARELY got over 20 mods more than a couple of times this year.
Bloomington averaged between 15-20
Putnamville had enough for B-Main on most weeks
Lawrenceburg im not sure what they averaged, but i rarely seen a B-Main in their programs.
Montpelier had the most Modifieds per week as well as Plymouth up in northern Indiana.

We almost always had a bmain at Montpelier this past season and had 63 check in for the 3,000 to win show at the end of September. The wolf pack days always produced big car counts.

The Modifieds ran on Saturday nights at both Plymouth and Shadyhill which are about 40 miles apart. Plymouth averaged about 30 a night and Shadyhill averaged about 22/23 a night. For Shadyhill's July 4th special there were 39 mods and for their year ending on 9/19 race their were 38 mods. So this area of north central Indiana evidently is a strong area for the mods.

Burg had a few slim nights of about 14 but one reason you didnt see a lot of B mains is because when there were 22-23 all started the features. He started all 27 at the Gaines Memorial night.

In the late 1980 era there were 30 to 35 pavement modifieds a night at Plymouth and Avilla on most IMSS shows. O the good old days when gas and food were cheap and most people that worked hard could afford to race.
