This is possibly the worst time of year for me. We just got back from Florida and the DirtCar Nationals, the weather here is colder up here in SW MI.... no more walking the beach..... no more Waffle House... no more racing - for awhile.
I have to wait until April and the USAC Midgets at Kokomo for my next fix. I am actually contemplating the Lucas Oil Late Models at Brownstown in late March. Once late April hits, the season will be in bloom up here. But until then..... such withdrawals. Oh, the humanity.
What is on the rest of the IOW fan dockets up this way for opening night?
I'm not discouraging you from attending the late model race, but if you wait a week longer to head to Brownstown, you get the non wing sprints at the No Way Out 40. That may be my first race. If I can't make it for that, I think my first will be the USAC sprints at Lawrenceburg the following weekend.

Thanks for the tip, but I am having corrective surgery on my throttle foot the day before and I will be too hobbled to go. The doctor says it has slowly degenerated over the past few decades due to driving long distances back and forth to races while pushing down on the pedal. He suggested I get a car with cruise control.
At the risk of getting boiled alive for mentioning "ball sports", college basketball conference playoffs start soon, then America's Best Sporting Event, NCAA playoffs.
This has been one of the best seasons in my 60+ years, Top ten teams getting upset every week, lots of amazing freshmen. Glad I have DVR....
I like to exercise as I watch otherwise I'd be a useless blob of flab....
If the weather is decent I'll be at the Lucas Oil Late Model show at Brownstown, No Way Out 40 at Brownstown a week later and then USAC at Lawrenceburg on April 1.

Now that sounds like a plan. The, "Trifecta of Dirt" plans.
