For a good portion of the race, you had Sciscoe smooth around the bottom and Stines screaming around the top, neck and neck. The two of them put on a real good show. All while Short and Bland were coming up through the field, redeeming themselves from starts further back in the field. The ending was a bit anti-climactic though, as Jon pulled away some, Hotlsclaw overtook Stines, Bland got a flat tire and Short jumped the cushion and lost several spots, after working his way up to 4th. It was neat seeing Sciscoe win. He had one coming, with some of the great races he had run at this track, this season.

As good of a race as this was, the modifieds may have stolen the show tonight, as Shelby Miles and John DeMoss just took off the gloves and went at it, for their entire feature!! Great race. And with a late yellow, they had company for the green, white, checker finish. John's brother Clint. Shelby got a good restart and closed the show, without being seriously challenged in the final two laps, though.

Great night at the track. Huge crowd with the fireworks. Many of them stayed to see the fireworks on the track, too. Now on to what could be the race of the weekend. MSCS $2500 to win at Tri-State Speedway. All the planets are in line for that to be a great show!

Greetings from northern Indiana. I wouldn't trade anything for being at Gas City with my son, son-in-law and the grandson a/k/a The Swordman. But will say that seeing Jon, or someone like him, win.

Next stop, Twin Cities. Rudy, save me a cheeseburger.
