Its been for sale or over five years.

However this may or may not have anything to do with who operates it next year if a deal can be worked out.

Best to keep this to a serious inquirer, as most of on here, Have no shot or the capital to neither buy or lease it.

Paragon is also for sale.

There are very few tracks that are not for sale. Just some that are more active in their advertising.

I could probably count on both hands the number of tracks that are not for sale.

$3.7M?

As Jerry Seinfeld would say, "Good luck with alllllllllllllll of THAT."

South Bend Motor Speedway has been for sale, too. There is a thread on here about it. They are asking $875,000. I am no real estate genious, nor am I in the market for buying a track and subsequently having my wife kill me in my sleep for doing so, but tearing up a little asphalt, throwing down some dirt at a track that is next to a big city..... $3.7M compared to $875K (or best offer)..... get real.

Don't get me wrong (now quoting Chrissie Hynde), I hope Gas City re-opens next year. But, $3.7M....... ?

well lets do some math. lets say you buy the place. Pay full price and pay it off in 20 years. $3,710,000 /20=$185,500 per year
Ok lets take $185,5000/ 24 (number of races per year) =$7,729 Lets take $7,729/ 3,100 (number of people that the place seats) =$2.50 So if I can have 24 races a year with 3,100 people per race. I will pay the place off in 20 years. Is my math off?

Your math is correct, I think your logic has failed you though.

Very simple math but now time to make that a quadratic equation with a bunch of variables that are all unknown and solve for x which is your bottom dollar. You forgot a bunch of expenses and all the factors that make or break a promoters night for example crowd size, purse, car count, insurance, employee wages, and the most unpredictable one the weather.

But if you want go ahead and see if the bank will give you the 20 year loan and see if you can make it work.
