RAIN INTERRUPTS LAWRENCEBURG’S “SPRINT WEEK”

Lawrenceburg, IN………Rain interrupted Sunday night’s AMSOIL USAC National Sprint race at the Lawrenceburg Speedway after the third heat race had been completed. The race will not be made up this year. Chase Stockon was the fastest qualifier before the rains came. “Indiana Sprint Week” resumes Wednesday night at the Terre Haute Action Track.

Why is the make up date not being used for this event ?

From my understanding they the track didn't have a make-up date on the schedule. They couldn't get their permits in a day for beer sales and a lot of track personal have jobs or will be gone on vacation. I think also the drivers already had plans tue night for the benefit they do for charity. I'm not 100% sure but that was the talk I was hearing last night

Its safe to assume we,ll have sprint week next year and so on.So maybe rain dates will be part of the operating procedure in the future.
