David Cardey driving the iTi Performance Motorsports Viper Chassis Sprinter powered by engines from iTi Performance drove to a great win Saturday evening in Petaluma California. This was David’s first trip to Petaluma and what he accomplished was truly amazing.

For only the third time in USAC/CRA history has a driver completed the Trifecta. David qualified fast time in the iTi Viper Chassis Powered Sprinter. This was David’s first fast time of the year and a great way to start off the evening.

David started at the rear of the first heat race and drove his way to the front to win the heat race and complete the second stage of the trifecta.

The main event started with David in the 4th row outside. At the drop of the green there was a wreck which meant a restart. Again at the drop of the green, another 12 car accident caused a red. This time David was not as lucky, he suffered a smashed in fuel cell, rear nerf bar bent down, and a bent Jacobs’s ladder. With the repairs made, David had to start his charge to the front from the 13th position. David on lap 17 took the lead had held off the field for his second win of the season. The win enabled David to extend his point lead over a very tough field of competitors.
