Just wondering for the sake of wondering.

Did anyone else get an e-mail pertaining to the aforementioned? I read it over but brushed it off. I am always wary of fishing of the sort.

The basis was Flo "disclosed its subscribers’ personally identifiable information to Facebook via the Facebook Tracking Pixel, without its subscribers’ consent, in violation of the Video Privacy Protection Act (the “VPPA”)."

There was a link to click on to file a claim for a cash payment. I refrained.

I also received one and my initial thought was why would I want to do anything to hurt Flo? But obviously they have agreed to the settlement so this is money they’ve already written off. I still can’t bring myself to make a claim but it would be interesting to know much money each claimant will get.

You're not hurting flo by taking a stake of the claim that is ALREADY PAID.

The lawyers already took their 35% of it anyway.

Most recent subscribers I could find and it was from 2021. I’m sure they have more now.

Today, FloSports boasts five million monthly unique viewers across its platforms, which offer live or on-demand coverage of over 200,000 competitions from more than 25 sports around the world, including basketball, cycling, rugby, ice hockey and gymnastics.

This was nothing more than a law firm money grab. I’m am
probably in the minority by not having FB, so you can do math on what each subscriber would receive. Not even enough to buy a beer.

Whatever the settlement amount was, you can rest assured that probably 2/3 of it or more is going straight to the blood sucking opportunistic lawyers that brought the suit. These class action lawsuits are ridiculous. Millions of dollars and everyone who "wins" gets a check for $6 or some other piddly amount. Then the company that had to fork over the huge sum is forced to raise prices to cover their losses and we all end up paying it back and more. The ONLY winners in class action suits are the lawyers.
