It's a five hour drive for me. Last time I went I stayed two nights, But if I go this time, I'll get a room and drive down race morning afternoon. Stay the night and come back on Sunday.
That track provides great racing at DuQuoin The people all around there are friendly and for five bucks more the pits are just a 50yrd walk away. You get there early and you can go back and talk with all the drivers ya
want too.

The time I went there was no other class with 67 midgets we were still out by 1030ish. Hope it's just the midgets

I am happy that someone stepped up to save these indoor shows.

How's the fumes in there? I remember the old Fort Wayne coliseum used to be so thick you could cut it with a knife. Back when I was a kid it didn't bother me, not so anymore

The first time I went, they were the worst. I have not seen any that were the old Ft Wayne coliseum bad. With that said it is still indoor racing.

Du Quoin generally isn't too bad in regards to fumes.

I was lucky I guess that my visit was on a fifty degree day and the left the back doors in the arena open, They have to exit the building anyway to refuel. I was sitting top row and only have about a five minute period in the whole night the fumes bothered me and that was just some eye watering. Think it was somewhere in the consi.but I did not have a problem.

FT Wayne, Sorry I couldn't stand it, either the old rink or new area

They just spent a ton of money remodeling the Coliseum and expo center in Ft Wayne. Might be better now but won't know until I go back.
