Pennsylvania Speedweek

Series - https://www.paspeedweeks.com/

2024 Schedule

2024 Season: Race 1 - April 20th Brownstown (Crate LM). Unlike many I don't discriminate on what racing I choose to watch.

Not really dwarfing. Except the first Lincoln show. ISW pays $8,000 per show. But I hear you. I wish there could be more money brought into non wing racing. Bet the PA winner doesn't get a cool rocking chair!

On the other hand Western PA Speedweek is 3500 to win 300 to start. Food for thought

Does anyone know the format for PA Speedweek races? Do they qualify and start them straight up?

Same format the All Stars used last couple of years. Invert 4, can knock a car out of dash if fastest qualifier in heat wins the heat

55 I think you know better than to insinuate western pa speedweek is at the same level as Ohio,Pa, and Indiana speedweek. That’s not even close. Actually the Pa and Indiana speedweeks aren’t at the same level either. 10g minimum and two events at 20 and 25. ISW is excited at an 8g standard. An earlier post speaks of the rocking chair. This is exactly the sign of where we are. Pa is 10 races in 10 days with big money. ISW is 8 races in 10 days with ok money and a rocking chair. ISW needs a two day break? The other difference is Pa races are all unsanctioned, ISW not so much. We have discussed the issues at nauseum and agree to disagree. The hope for me is non wing racing will command better money but at least they know they get a well crafted beautiful rocking chair. It is a classy piece of craftsmanship but it doesn’t exude excitement, no matter your age.

Call me greedy, but I enjoy the $20-$35 ticket price. If y'all want better paying races, pony up and contribute to the purse.

I really don't understand how this does not happen more often. Pass a bucket in the stands and everyone throw in a buck or five and tell the promoter to distribute it through out the purse. Ya'll can afford it. I've seen your campers in the parking lots! haha
Merry Christmas everyone!
