WALKOUT SONGS FROM THE SMACKDOWN FIELD

Kokomo, Indiana (August 30, 2021)………Each year, one of the great Saturday night traditions of Sprint Car Smackdown at Kokomo (Ind.) Speedway is driver intros just prior to the start of the 40-lap USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car feature.

After each driver’s name is introduced, that driver walks in front of the throng of fans to the tune of a song by their own choice.

Here is the list of those songs chosen by each driver for their introduction, displaying a little bit of each driver’s personality and musical taste.

Anybody else already reached the age of not recognizing a significant portion of these songs? haha Not much of a country fan so CJ, David Hair, and Eddie Tafoya jr get my immediate approval. Top honors to Chase (only one T) Stockon for a song seemingly custom made for such a time… HEY!!!!

I've been told I am older than dirt, so something by Willie, or Waylon hits my ears pretty well, altho Billy Strings is my new latest player of the year, I know, be careful what you wish for, but I sure would like to be able to play like him, or one of at least a dozen others.
