After a fun weekend at Eldora Speedway for the 49th Annual World 100 weekend and watching some great racing. The 50/50 was huge each night.

The Kings Royal record of $60,000 was shattered last night after climbing to $80,489. They actually stopped selling 50/50 tickets at passing $80,000 because the computers couldn't keep up with the demand printing.

It was announced that there was approximately 440,000 individual 50/50 tickets for each number (one for each number) in drawing drum that is spun to mix them up.

I'll issue a challenge to sprint car fans to beat that.

Not Any more is the way I understand it. They added a geofence on the 50/50 on line internet website sales. You have to be on the track ground or in one of the adjacent campgrounds to buy a 50/50 ticket any more.

One thing I dislike about some tracks 50/50 drawing is they call the winning number just before the Main event. After a 6 hour drive to Belleville Kansas from Arvada, Colorado, motel costs, meals, etc. I want to see the main event. For $80K yeah I would miss what I came for but not for a couple hundred. They need to give the winner (which I've never been) time to collect and still see what they came for.

We've been to the World 100 more than 20 times. It's a safe bet that 1/2 of the approximately 440,000 50/50 tickets sold the buyers had no conscience recollection of doing so! LOL!

I was impressed this year, only one fight and that was on Thursday. This is the first year I did not see where someone puked also. Nothing I hate more than having to walk around a street pizza. I can't wait for next year to see what they will have for the 50th anniversary 🏁🤔

They wouldn't let you collect in person. The winner had to call a number within 30 days of the draw. That crowd was by far the most people I've ever seen there.
