Could someone provide a little info on Jack's memorial award?
How much was raised, who other than the hard charger got $$?
Most importantly, did you get his van there and have the social
gathering Jack would have approved of?

Thanks,
jim thurman

The track was prepared beautifully, the weather was perfect and this turned out to be an amazing race. I can't help but think that Jack was watching over us Wednesday night and really liked what he saw.

Here are the official award amounts from Mike Clark:

Hard Charger Award: Shane Cottle-$2500

Hard Luck Owner: Brandon Mattox-$500

First Non-Qualifier (B Main): Andrew Elson-$400

Fast Time: Keith Bloom, Jr.-$300

Slipped in B Main: JJ Hughes-$400

Slipped in A Main: Hunter Schuerenberg-$325

Donated to Officer Brent Long Memorial Fund:$100

I am assuming a white Ford van with an A/C unit in the back? There was one like this at hte tents set up for the memorial people. Had some stickers on it.

Thanks for the information. I know Mike Clark, along with LOTS of others have put a
lot of work into making this happen. Jack was a great guy and super race fan. Just wish
I could have been there to toast our late friend, but sounds like Jack would have approved
of the entire event!
