Joining the ranks of, quite possibly, the toughest micro sprint competition in the country, is local talent, but nationally known Dereck King of Goreville, IL. 2003 NMMA Multi National Champion and three time consecutive POWRi Micro Point Champion, from 2007 to 2009, King has been winning races for over a decade now, stacking up over 20 POWRi feature wins and over 125 total Outlaw A Main victories including the 2011 Clarksville Speedway $2,000 to win show. After a successful outing at The 66 last year, finishing 5th in the main event, Dereck looks for the checkered this year, bringing in momentum this year as he has won the last two weekends at SIR.
