Supporting The Keizer Wheels 66 Mike Phillips Memorial for the second of two years are Subway Restaurants of Benton, Carterville, and Marion, Illinois. With their help, The 66 once again aims to put on the greatest micro sprint event in the country, and it couldn’t be done without them. They have been a huge part of the success of The 66. In return, show them your support when you start to get hungry and are looking for a good meal when you’re in any of these areas. Thanks again for all of your help.

Also rejoining The 66 in 2012 is Carl Junction, Missouri hot-shoe Andrew Felker. At only 20 years of age, Felker has built up an impressive resume with a large number of microsprint victories at many weekly races and big shows alike. He’s taken 8 Show-Me Showdown wins amongst 3 different classes within 4 years, 4 Race 4 Life victories, including their 2007 $10,000 Non-Wing race, was ASCS2’s 2008 Non-Wing champion, has 12 POWRi Micro Sprint wins since 2009 including the 2011 Macon Micro Nationals, was runner-up in the 2010 POWRi Micro Sprint Points Championship by a mere 5 points, and even has won 3 POWRi Midget Features so far this year. When Andrew came to SIR last year for The 66, he took home an impressive 4th place finish, but says he won’t accept anything less than a win at the second running of this event.

With less than 3 weeks away, over 50 cars already pre-entered for the race with more still coming in each day, now representing a dozen different states across the country! The car count is expected to hit over 100 cars for the event, taking 3 days to get down to the best 24 cars that will get to run a 40 lap Main Event for the shot at the $10,000 winner's share. Last year's race saw a memorably intense battle for the lead between Evansville, Indiana driver Trent Beckinger and eventual victor Christopher Bell of Norman, Oklahoma for several laps before seeing Bell eventually pull away to the checkered flag in front of a standing room only crowd. This year's race is expected to see nothing short of a repeat of great racing for another packed house. This year's commercial is finished and ready to hit local television in hopes to draw an even bigger crowd than 2011 saw with the intentions of bringing more attention to the great racing that POWRi Micro Sprints put on. Check the commercial out along with the updated pre-entry list and more on the official webpage of The Keizer Wheels 66 Mike Phillips Memorial at http://www.AddiktivePromotions.com .
