"Four former winners headline Belleville Entries "
"Midgets, Silver Crown, Sprints highlight Aug. 1-3 events"


Belleville, Kan., July 29---Four former winners and five series points leaders highlight the entry list for the 36th Annual Belleville Midget Nationals on Aug. 1-3 at the Belleville High Banks. The event features a new format change, and the return of the United States Auto Club (USAC) as the sanctioning organization, along with The Belleville High Banks Race Committee.

Defending and three-time Champion Jerry Coons leads the list of past winners which include: Bryan Caluson (2009, ’10), Dave Darland (1999, ’02), and Bobby East (2004). Darland is a late entry and will pilot the RW/Curb-Agajanian Motorsports Beast/Fontana No. 17.

Five current midget point leaders led by Christopher Bell the USAC Honda National Dirt Series leader are also among the favorites for Saturday Night’s 40-lap feature. Others include: Tracy Hines (USAC National Pavement), Ronnie Gardner (USAC Western Midget), Andrew Felker (POWRi & National Midget Driver of the Year), and Brad Kuhn (Badger).

Thursday Aug. 1 will see the USAC Honda National Midget Dirt Series run qualifications, preliminary races and a 25-lap midget feature race. The TRAXXAS USAC Silver Crown Series. will hold a practice session during the evening, in preparation for Friday Nights events.

"The Hustle on the High Banks" on Friday Night Aug. 2, will mark the series first ever appearance at the track for Silver Crown series, highlighted by a 50-lap feature. Kody Swanson leads the series points after Saturday’ event at Clermont, Ind. by eleven points over East, with Coons in third place. The tracks popular cruiser division will also be competing.

Saturday Aug. 3 will feature dashes, and last chance races setting the field for the 40-lap midget feature. The United Rebel Sprint Car Series again returns for the 2nd annual 305 Sprint Nationals.

General Admission tickets for all events are sold first-come first-served on race day at the ticket gate. Reserved Seating tickets is available for the Belleville Midget Nationals. General admission available only if the event is not sold out, and available only on the day of the race at the track ticket office (bottom 3 rows only).

Received the attached from the race organizer today. Note that these are PROJECTED rosters, so either they're not complete or there are some names shown who will not be in attendance. In fact, it's come to my attention that Davey Ray will not be a participant this year. How many more are shown but not officially entered is anyone's guess. That being said, if the projections are largely correct, we're in for a great 3 days of racing.

one midget driver they don't have on that list that should be there is Garret Hood. Im pretty positive he would be there.

Entry lists will be sent in a release tomorrow, the Clauson spelling, a simple mistake not like I haven't typed that name a few hundred times in the past five years.
