Sandy, could you elaborate as to what the issue was with the scoreboard last night? Unfortunately, the majority of races that I attend at The Burg are USAC races and the scoreboard problems seem to be a semi-regular issue at these races.

I can....the laptop we use was having issues..rebooting and doing updates...we are correcting the problems...technology is a pain sometimes. Hope to have the scoreboard working better in the future. We did have another scoreboard in the infield last night that was working.

Missed Garrett Abrams as he ran very strong last week.

Lawrenceburg runs a Westhold timing system and we have a Westhold scoreboard. USAC switched from a Westhold Timing system to an AMB system this year and their timing system was not compatible with our scoreboard.

At the April USAC sprint race Westhold wrote USAC a new program to drive the scoreboard. It worked except for a small glitch in displaying the qualify results order. I believe the program was tweaked but unfortunately there are still a few issues.

We are trying to get Race-Monitor to work for our local shows and Darr from USAC helped me for about an hour trying to get it up and running (thanks Darr!). Unfortunately while doing that I left the Wifi turned on for the track computer and the darn thing started installing updates.

When USAC had a problem connecting with the scoreboard during the midget feature I said I would operate it manually. As soon as I plugged the scoreboard back in my whole computer froze up and I had to do a complete restart (that was when the scoreboard was stuck on lap 11).

We are working to correct these issues and hope to have the scoreboard and Race-Monitor working correctly from this point forward.

It doesn't work because Skyline doesn't sponsor it anymore.
