Is it just me or does anybody else get the feeling that TV coverage and overflow attendance by a bunch of napcar fans will 1day lead to the paving of Eldora?

It would appear there is some interest in this race or this would not be being read on the fourth page.
Seems like a good thing to me. The more racing I can go to the better. It beats sitting at home reading message boards.
I care less who sanctions the race; pick up trucks were built for pushing off race cars/ and i'll be damned if i'll pass up a race involving racecars in order to watch pick up trucks stumble around a track
For real excitement, put the top 4 in Eldora stocks at the tail of the field, wow can you imagine? lol, I think they do 22second laps or better...but really I'd rather this deal be a success than a failure...
It is a curiousity or novelty for Nascar fans, nothing more. It is new to see them run on dirt. It might be the only dirt race those fans have ever attended. Let them have their fun. Dirt track fans recognize it for what it is, inferior racing to what is normally ran at Eldora. I might watch it if I am not doing anything else, but I don't think it will have any lasting impact on racing.

Well, they weigh about 3000 lbs less
Look, the trucks will be slow, but you better believe there will be some tough racing going on, and a lot of yellows. As a pavement super latemodel fan this race on dirt will be interesting.
That said, I'd still rather see a non-winged sprint show at Eldora than the trucks.
I found it rather interesting, watching these guys get some time on a real race track, and learning the difficulty of keeping a race car under you on a not so sticky surface, Larsen was beginning to get with it, as well as Newman, it'll be even more interesting to see who they have on staff to do the play by play, bet there won't be any suit and tie guys and gals! I'll watch it, til I pass out! Bob
"Being old, isn't half as much fun, as getting there"! Ole Robert I!
Oh, I will watch it. It would be nice to see multiple grooves that used to be the norm. Or at least a cushion 10' from the wall to begin the heats. I thought they had some great new hybrid form of dirt we were going to see this year?
