Tomorrow is the first day of the Kokomo Speedway's Smackdown--four days of vintage sprint car racing, Indiana style. I look forward to it every year; this year is no exception.
My plan is to try and sell/sign a few books. "Racing with Faith" is the title of the book I've written (with a LOT of help). It's a labor of love and consists of 22 short stories that weave auto racing and one's faith in God (or, if you prefer, a Higher Power). I would hope that readers be both entertained and educated. They are, I hope, stories that are easy enough to understand, but also challenging our beliefs and our perception of what and who God is to us. The paperback version is $19.95 plus IN state tax. The hardcover book is $35.95 plus IN state tax. For those wanting hardcover books, we will be ordering them soon. At that point we will be sending them to those who want a hardcover. I hope to be set up somewhere near the ticket booth. And I have tentative plans to do this all four nights of Smackdown. If I'm not at the table, I'm either using the restroom, grabbing a pork chop sandwich or watching races. Thank you all. DB

Danny Burton sold me a copy of his new book “Racing in Faith” for $21.35 It contains 22 short fiction stories about racing and faith.
