Per the Hoffman Racing facebook and twitter accounts. I have pasted their release below.

HOFFMAN RACING ANNOUNCES MEAN
GREEN RETURNS AS PRIMARY SPONSOR AND
CHAD BOESPFLUG WILL DRIVE THE ICONIC
#69 IN THE 2017 USAC NATIONAL SPRINT CAR SERIES
Loveland, OH (Dec 5, 2016) – The one thing constant in life is change. Coming off a banner
Year for Hoffman Racing (HAR), winning the Team’s unprecedented 11th USAC National Sprint
Car Series Championship, winning Indiana Sprint Week for 2016, the first ever Little 500
win and reaching 100 National USAC Sprint Car wins, major changes are in store for 2017.
Staying the same are the return of our major sponsor, Mean Green Cleaner & Degreaser,
associate sponsors Lykins Energy Solutions, XYZ, and the addition of EZR. HAR remains
an Official Military Order of The Purple Heart Race Team.
What is changing? Of the five “core Team members” of HAR, only Richard Hoffman and
Tim Waechter are remaining. Dan Launderville is moving on to a business opportunity,
Rob Hoffman is retiring, after a lifetime of racing, to concentrate on family and his business
career in banking. Brady will not be able to run the entire schedule due to other racing conflicts
and will concentrate on wing sprint cars.
“The loss of Dan, Rob and Brady necessitated a restructuring of the Team. I want to wish Dan,
Brady, and my son, Rob, the best. We had one heck of a Team, as evidenced by results.
Without the backing of Mean Green, Lykins, XYZ, Hoosier Tire, and now EZR, it would
have been difficult to continue. As it is we are excited to carry on our legacy with Chad. He
will drive the 69 car. Chad’s career is taking off and with the addition of Davey Jones as the
crew chief, that makes us a threat every night, and for our 12th USAC National Sprint Car
Championship,” said Richard Hoffman, President of Hoffman Racing. The Team will
be headquartered out of Indianapolis, Indiana.
Chad Boespflug commented “I am looking forward to working with Dynamics Inc. Hoffman
Racing. With the help of EZR we will be chasing another championship in 2017. It’s a tall feat
to follow in the footsteps of their accomplishments over the years, but also a huge honor to
help carry on the Hoffman Racing legacy of excellence and championship. They have truly helped
evolve the sport of racing."
Chad began racing micros in 1998 in his home state of California. He graduated to sprint cars in 2004.
He won the SCRA championship in 2005 and made the big move to Indiana in 2007. He became the
Lawrenceburg track champion in 2011. Chad began his own team with the help of Chuck Eberhardt
and Fred Zirzow and ran the entire USAC National Sprint Car schedule. They racked up 6 USAC
National wins in 2016.
“Mean Green is America’s #1 heavy duty, all purpose cleaner and degreaser that provides consumers
with the toughest clean at a great value. Independent lab tests prove that Mean Green out cleans other
brands on the tough grease and grime. It works better because it contains more cleaning ingredients than
other brands. It’s the Toughness you can Trust, for when getting it clean matters most. Great for dirty
jobs inside and out, from the kitchen countertop, tile and toilet, to outdoor furniture, greasy grills and
engine parts. Visit www.MeanGreenDegreaser.com for more information.

HAR also has 7 Silver Crown wins and one USAC midget win, for a total of 108 USAC National wins. In 2003 HAR was recognized for excellence by the Ohio State Senate and House of Representatives. HAR has finished in the top 3 in USAC National Sprint Car owner's points 20 times since 1989.

Good luck to Chad and HAR! I've been a fan of HAR since Cary Faas was the shoe. You guys have picked a very upstanding, respectful driver in Chad. I would make a point to go to their pit area at LPS when Chad was driving the 57 Hazen car, and speak to both of them. Great guy, always very respectful to Paul and everyone who would stop by.

Best of luck to the #69 car. They seem to know how to win.
However, not a fan of Bacon's choice to go with the wing.

Congrats to Chad. He's climbed to the very top of the sport, in the last couple of years. He'll be a part of a potent combination with this perennial title threat race team. HAR will be the odds on favorite next year to add yet another trophy to their collection.

The other part of the story has to be the shock waves that will be sent through the sport and USAC in particular, when the champion just walks away after his championship run, to pursue a better opportunity within the sport of sprint car racing. And that being national champion doesn't pay enough to stop him from doing so. Or so it seems.

Jerry

Great news, aside from losing Brady as a full-time non-wing driver. Hope this works out great for all parties involved! Will be nice to have Brady to root for when I watch the occasional winged race though!

This is some awesome news for Chad to cap a great 2016 for him. Six USAC wins, bagging 60 grand at the two night Badlands show, and now joining HAR. Congrats to him.

Wonder if Brady will run for points in any winged series.

Jerry you are spot on. In my opinion there is nothing in racing more prestigious than the title of a USAC Champion. However, the year end payout to these teams and drivers is a very poor return on their investment. USAC is a multi million dollar enterprise and the officials are VERY well compensated. It is time to start rewarding the teams that haul up and down the road, and the drivers that hang out their ba!!s on a weekly basis with a competitive prize fund! USAC sprint cars are the best show in racing , yet many drivers use it as a stepping stone to pursue a career in a more lucrative series due to this financial risk vs. reward. USAC has had MANY drivers come through the ranks only to move on to a different series or sanctioning body. I don't believe that these "defections" are due to a bigger or better series, simply a more logical way for them to earn a living. It is time for USAC to start retaining the talent they have and show them how much they are appreciated with a bigger year end payout.

It's $900 for 5th on the USAC tour. Just doesn't pay enough to be a full-time non-wing driver.

I don't think any less of Brady for doing whatever he wants to do. I think it's a great way to move on by leaving after you have won 2 championships in 3 years with a great team. That kid can wheel a racecar, any class Midgets, Wing/Non Wing Sprints, Silver Crown. The Hoffman team has seen many drivers come and go over the years Great drivers at that. Now they are going to give Chad a shot at a championship run that he could have done with his own car but now with Hoffman's car just gives him even more of an edge in the long haul. Congrats and the best of luck to Brady in whatever avenue he intends to head down next season and Congrats to Chad on grabbing that seat when it was dangled his way and the Hoffman's for putting a quality driver in there seat but that's no real surprise coming from that classy group of guys.

Wow, Leave it to social media to turn a announcement into a bash USAC thread.

First off, Congrats to Chad! Hoffman and EZR.

Where there's a will, there's a way.

Reading this article I see the team will be based in Indy. That's what I was wondering about.

Dan Launderville has been the backbone of the team for awhile. doing everything under the sun and moon to keep the team in always ready and always competitive form. I wish him all the best and much Success in the Tool Business.

Rob Hoffman is a new Grand Dad to twins.

There is nothing like shoring up a team to have all the needed pieces and with the added owner, sponsors and resources. Chad will have even more chance to show his skills with top backup equipment and motors to boot

Mean Green and CR Brands put out some stellar low cost products. I suggest trying them

As for the USAC bashing, Most owners, drivers, crew members etc have full time jobs. The purses they run for is twice or thrice what any other NW organization puts up.. That $$$ on top of the ful time jobs im sure is helpful to racers. USAC IMHO has produced more champions at all other levels than any other organization including the WoO. Id suggest two things, Either offer a solution or start your own org.

As for Brady, Brady has become one of the most versatile racers in the country. Sprint, midget, champ, Wing or non. Two time USAC Sprint champ. winner in many winged events including All Stars. If he's got the pieces in place. He'll go far. Congrats Brady Bacon!
