Hartford Speedway
Hartford, Michigan Track is going from a 1/2 mile to a 3/8's mile for 2017 and beyond. There will be more banking than what is shown in the pictures https://www.facebook.com/permalink.p...43212159037952 Hoping for a great turn out next year. One of my favorite tracks. The track staff is about as friendly as they come and know how to promote a race track. ALSO - MANY may not know this but Track Promoters Tim & Leah have been dealt a hard hand as their son has been battling Leukemia since about mid September and would like to wish their son Timmy Fast recovery. If anyone would like to help contact them via the Hartford Speedway Facebook page i.e. auction off Door panels, Die cast cars, ect to help them. Some of the nicest people I have met at any racing facility. See ya all at the race track in 2017.

This debate has gone on longer than the back---------stretch at Hartford. Tim and his staff are smart, talented and seasoned, they will make it work.

I must say, I didn't care much for the weekly shows there on the big track, but almost every time I was there for a traveling series the racing was good. I hate to lose another big track, and also my dream of watching silver crown cars there.

Very sad day for me..This was the one last great track in Michigan,, where you needed to hang on tight all night long..To bad everyone is buying into the BS of 3/8 puts on a much better show..

I don't know if everyone is buying into 3/8th being better. It's hard to run a track when drivers don't want to support it.

Have gone to Hartford many times over the years, even when I was paved. the big track is a car eating one Saw engines blown w/ rods & pistons hanging out the side of the block We started one night w/ 23 cars, by the feature we had 17 or 18 left Its' one thing to sit in the stands but these cars run on money & sweat I have seen great racing on 3/8 & 1/4 mile tracks But nothing beats the sound of a sprint at full song on a long track
Hoping for the best for the track but mostly for their son |
