The Parallax Power Systems 30 at Anderson Speedway will kick-off the second half of the UAW American Made Mel Kenyon Midget Series season. Series point leader Dameron Taylor will lead the UAW Kenyon Midget drivers as they take to the high banks following the 4th of July break.

Taylor is a three time winner in 2017, has led the most laps and set fast time qualifying three times. The 3rd generation driver and Indianapolis native is attempting to become the first driver to win two UAW American Made Mel Kenyon Midget Series driving championships. He is 2nd on the all time UAW Kenyon Midget winners list.

Two time winner Clayton Gaines will be looking for his first pavement win of 2017 in Saturday’s 30-lap feature event. Gaines is a two time winner at Anderson. He will be joined by fellow two time Anderson winner Trey Osborne. Osborne picked up the win in the rain shortened Don and Mel Kenyon Classic on May 26.

2017 Pay Less Little 500 presented by UAW GM winner and three time UAAW Kenyon Midget winner in 2017 Kyle Hamilton will be fulfilling a prior commitment and racing in New England Saturday.

Series regulars Logan and Ryan Huggler, Tommy Kouns, Kent Kriegbaum, Cole Christy, Will Edwards and Nathan Foster are looking to celebrate their first win and break into the 2017 UAW Kenyon Midget victory lane.

Anderson Speedway practice begins and the front gate opens for the Parallax Power Systems 30 at 5:00, with qualifications at 6:30 and racing at 8:00. The UAW American made Mel Kenyon Midget Series will be joined by the Thunder Cars, the VCTS Pro Compacts and the Indiana Champ Carts.
