Historic Weekend of Firsts for BOSS

The Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series is set or an action packed weekend ahead. Both tracks will be hosting their first ever tour event, and very good car counts are expected. Gas City Speedway first opened in 1987 and has been a steady host of traditional non wing sprints. Oakshade Raceway was opened in 1976 as a weekly winged sprint race track. Through the years, it became a home of 360 winged racing. However, it has been close to 2 decades since their last sprint car event.

Matt Westfall, Cody Gardner and Dustin Ingle sit atop the current standings and will lead a strong contingent into the weekend. Kory Crabtree and Dustin Webber round out the current top 5. Steve Little sits in the 6th position and plans to return after a hard crash in the last event at Pittsburgh Motor Speedway. Parker Frederickson, Dallas Hewitt, Korbyn Hayslett and Mike Miller make up the balance of the front ten. The 11-15 spots are held by Buddy Lowther, Justin Owen, Carmen Perigo, Matt Cooley, and Ben Knight.

Westfall has been the only repeat winner on the tour thus far, picking up the season opening win at Atomic in April and scoring again at Fremont Speedway less than one moth ago. Other winners have been Nick Bilbee, Luke Hall, Justin Owen, Chandler Leiby, Cody Gardner and Dallas Hewitt. Also on hand will be a large field of Gas City regulars and the big question is, can anyone stop the dominance of Thomas Meseraull there in 2019? The other big question, who will go to victory lane in a sprint car at Oakshade for the first time in close to 20 years?
