Montpelier Motor Speedway Set To Host Midgets Saturday, September 20th

The Montpelier Motor Speedway Midget series heads into one of its three final Midget programs of 2014 this Saturday Night, September 20th. The Midgets put an excellent 27 car program on September 13th. Davey Ray (Moore #10) picked up the September 13th victory last week besting current points leader Tate Martz (Steele #10), Michael Koontz (from 15th to 3rd), Billy Wease (Gardner #35), and youngster Gage Walker. Open wheel veteran, Johnny Heydenreich (Sexton #12) picked up the B Main win. Gary Gipson (Byers #5) is the current Rookie of the Year leader. The series is proudly presented by the Leaders Edge of Indianapolis, Indiana.

The event will feature the Montpelier’s Midget Series which features full size Midgets and power plants and allows a platform for other engines including Focus, Ecotech, and Motorcycle powered entries to compete utilizing an unlimited weight break and additional tire width. The Montpelier Motor Speedway Midget Series features an open tire brand and compound rule.

The series' schedule and competition will heat up for the remainder of the season with 3 consecutive weekends of Midget racing scheduled through early October (September 20, September 27, and October 11) heading towards the culmination of a series champion.

I am so there! Looking to continue to improve, and hoping for another good turnout to make me work for it.
(not to be picky but September 20, September 27, and October 11 isn't three consecutive weekends, unless you have a different calendar than I do)

OK, I guess that's one way to look at it...
Question: The website says that the 27th is the last points event but the way this posting reads it sounds like the 11th counts towards the championship; which is it? Not that it makes much difference to me, I'm planning on making all three shows anyway, but it might affect someone's plans if a top ten is at stake...

I don't have a clue I know next weekend is the final points night across the board but that could be different with the midgets since we have been plauged by weather most of the year.. I hope it will be a points race.. You guys deserve it.

Did mother nature steal another race this year? Radar doesn't look too great.

We were rained out midway through the heat races. Please save all ticket stubs and wristbands as these will serve as your rain check.

Hope I wasn't the only one who tore outta there so fast we forgot to take the transponder off and turn it back in....
Also, if anybody finds a spare RR & LR out there on Highway 26 or I-69; not sure if we got ripped off at the Taco Bell in Hartford City (it was raining too hard and I don't remember even looking at the trailer) or the lock vibrated out somewhere, but if they fell off on the road they sure didn't make a sound.
Not the best of nights all around; Lynsey took a hard ride in the first heat. Hope the headache goes away soon, kiddo.

Did you leave them at the track on accident? I hope some pos didn't lift them off your hands on the way home.
