24 cars start a feature and 5 heat races with a car count over 48. I am sure someone can post the exact rule package.

Two of us were discussing the reduced weight limit to 1350# for National Sprint Cars, subtle way of telling drivers to lose weight? LoL #Asking for a friend.

I was listening to the competition meeting when they brought up the weight rule. Soooo, you have to add weight to make the minimum. You also spend thousands on titanium bolts and carbon fiber seats and carbon fiber panels. Isn't that the idea of a weight rule? So you don't spend crazy money. Rule of thumb is for every pound you need to lose it will cost you $100. So that means USAC just cost every person that did not have to add weight $2500. There are only a few drivers that have to add weight and of coarse it is their top teams. You know, the ones with enough money to buy titanium and carbon fiber needlessly.

If you look in your mirror and see a line of cars behind you, be kind and pull over.

Well friend, step into my shoes and never have to add weight to satisfy USAC!

No worries here!

I’m here to read the people posts with the 1950’s mentality, complain about the format changes. Lol.

The one ignition switch rule is interesting.

What's a Sprint Car built with mid-grade aluminum components and a fiberglass/aluminum body weigh?

I imagine that most existing cars had to add weight so why not prevent having to add weight where a team wants it.
