COURTNEY AND WINDOM IN TIGHT SUPER LICENSE TITLE CHASE

Speedway, Indiana (September 11, 2019)………Tyler Courtney leads a tight Mike Curb Super License title chase over Chris Windom entering the middle of September in the USAC National season.

Courtney (Indianapolis, Ind.) has earned the most combined points between USAC’s Silver Crown, AMSOIL National Sprint Car and NOS Energy Drink Midget National Championship divisions thus far throughout the 2019 season, 3,264 to be exact.* Windom (Canton, Ill.) is just 24 points behind with 3,240.

Courtney (Indianapolis, Ind.) remains the only driver to win main events in all three of the divisions this year, accumulating a total of 13 National feature victories: 6 Midget, 6 Sprint and 1 Silver Crown, most among all drivers.

Courtney, the defending Super License winner, leads the Midget points, is second in Sprint and 16th in Silver Crown where he runs a partial schedule only on the dirt.

Chris Windom (Canton, Ill.) is the only driver who resides in the top-ten of all three National series standings: second in midget, sixth in sprint and seventh in Silver Crown with three sprint wins and a pair of midget victories.

The Mike Curb Super License pays a $5,000 bonus and a USAC Super License worth $900 at the year-end banquet.

Previous winners of the Mike Curb Super License include Tracy Hines (2000, 2008, 2013 and 2014); Bryan Clauson (2010, 2011 and 2012), Cole Whitt (2009), Jerry Coons Jr. (2007), Josh Wise (2005 and 2006), Jay Drake (2004), J.J.
