Attica & Fremont up weekly sprint payouts to $4,000 to win & $400 to start.

Fremont and Attica will both pay $4k to win $400 to start for weekly 410 sprint shows in 2024. Both tracks will pay $10k to the division track champion and the AFCS will also pay the championship $10k

2024 Season: Race 1 - April 20th Brownstown (Crate LM). Unlike many I don't discriminate on what racing I choose to watch.

So apparently winged Sprint Car racing In Ohio is going to survive the absence of the Allstars

Yes, apparently. There is opportunity here for SOMEONE to fill in the gap. This can only help GLSS and the 360s. I mean, they have the fan base. They just need a master of ceremonies.

Now help me bring my head back around this: This is not FAST on Dirt Sprints, right? This is what the acronym FAST used to be - Fremont Attica. The new FAST on Dirt is part of BOSS now? They (FAST on Dirt) also have the opportunity to grow and will facilitate the 2024 Ohio Sprint Speedweek, right?

I just wish they would call it something other than FAST to avoid old brain confusion. Kind of like GLSS and the old GLOSS series.

At least nowhere is the term "Thunder" being used here.

Yet.

This article may help clear it up a little but yeah it is a little confusing.

In summary it looks like it started in 2009 as a series between Attica and Fremont known only as FAST (Fremont Attica Sprint Title). In Ohio those are probably the two best Tracks when it comes to local drivers. In 2014 the promoter of Fremont took over and started including other tracks and then started calling the FAST Championship Series (southern Ohio needs a little love too). Looks Like Fry took over in 2019 and he is starting to grow it a bit larger, because FAST already has an established name in Ohio they just kept it.

Purses have gone up a lot for Central Pa sprints as well in the past few years (at least winners share) but that has also brought about higher admission prices. Which of course has led to crowds shrinking. Many blame streaming but that’s not the whole problem.
I hope we are not in the midst of pricing people out of going to the races to appease race teams whose spending only gets more and more every year.
