What I am reading here doesn’t make much sense to me. The driveshaft cars running Ecotec and other automotive engines in the last two seasons were allowed to run aftermarket pistons, cams, valves, etc. And four of the top five cars at the last race were chain drive cars with motorcycle engines? In 2016 aftermarket parts will not be allowed. This looks like the guys who ran Ecotecs, etc. last year are getting screwed. They have to spend a lot of money to build a slower engine to race against the guys who already beat them. This sounds like a deal breaker to me.

I'm trying to figure out what engine I can use, and I think before I spend another nickel, can someone please tell me what chain I will be able to legally run from the pedals to the rear axle, .219, .35, .41, or is that something I should wait till race time to buy? Just sayin! Bob

I believe Mr. Davis is on the right track.
I don't believe he's following all the D2 guidlines, but I could be wrong.
There's no need for dbl adjustable, remote canister,cockpit adjustable shocks in a spec series, that claims budget racing.
I have 20 years invested in budget racing, so I'm pretty damn sure I know exactly what I'm talking about.
And my point about chain drives having a distinct advantage on a slick track was proven by a very highly skilled experienced driver at Jacksonville with a car not even legal in the current D2 rules.
I didn't say anything untrue.
To further my point on chain drive and shaft cars in same division was to throw the word integrity in the face of guys preaching they are protecting it.
Most of your true midget guys do not consider a chain drive a midget.
