Well folks, the Chili Bowl is upon us, and rightfully so, it has become the biggest midget race in the world. One could probably say the biggest dirt race in the world. I absolutely love it! Every year we have have a wonderful gathering to celebrate the event. Although the magnitude of the event cannot be argued in recent times, I submit that the race itself shouldn’t be allowed to overtake races like the Hut Hundred and Belleville Midget Nationals which were indeed Crown Jewels of midget racing, where not everyone was likely to pony up some cash to say they did it. I absolutely love the Chili Bowl, but I sure do miss real midget racing
