Personally I would have given my left testicle to have lived near that place back when men were brave and the regulation was small.
I hope they have a reunion this year.
The pictures were incredible, looks like a very interesting place to look at. May take a day trip up there on the motorcycle and check it out.
It amazes me that guys knew the risk, but still hopped in the cars and raced. Heck being a spectator in those days was nearly the same risk as the drivers.
I'm definitely going to make a pit stop there next time I'm down that way. As long as I know I'm not going to get gunned down since its private property.
We rode my bike up there during down time at ISW Terre Haute a few years back. I think I remember something about a canoe rental sign or something..Great memory

Did anyone run you off when you visited? I love these old relics of racetracks. I just went by an old go kart race track the other day near Winslow, IN. Not much left from when I raced there in the 80's.
