There were some tweets about Danica blowing off an interview at the Prelude. I am sure there is more to the story than was on the tweets. Does anyon know?

Did they advertise this at all? We always get the ppv deal for home but never heard anything about it this year till Danny's post. Vicki says good thing we didn't buy it though since "chinless" won (her loving nickname for kyle). 2 notes that i notice though, Danica "don't call me dani" Patrick finishes mid pack (her usual spot) and poor kurt busch dns, maybe another one of his punishments. I don't mean to be too cruel to the drivers though, one of the reasons we love this race so much is to see the drivers have so much fun, with some even buying their own car for next year. I hope it's shown in the future on Speed for us poor folks who missed it. I hope the charities made a fortune, that's what it's all about anyway, bob.

She stuffed it in the wall in the heat, came in on the hook and went straight into the hauler and declined all interview requests.

Just a couple of points about the race last night.

1)Both Busch brothers had difficult times in the heat races. Both found the wall much to the delight of many fans in attendance. It basically ended Kurt's night while Kyle's crew was able to fix the car and take the win.

2)Kasey had them covered and had the misfortune to "find" the stopped car in turns 3 & 4. Don't know exactly what happened but it seemed like the yellow was late coming out.

3)Danica was the last car running in the feature. A difficult time for her as well as they lapped her three times in the feature alone.

4)The crowd was down some from past years but they still had quite a lot of people. With attendance being down at NASCAR events, this certainly didn't surprise me. I hope that they were able to raise that $1M goal that they set for this event. That is the reason they run this thing in the first place.

5)Kind of surprised that they didn't do anything to the race track after the practice sessions. It slicked off big time and the cushion was about used up early on. Reminded me a lot of the 4 crown last year. They still have some work to do but I said early on that Roger Slack, the new promoter would have his hands full and it will take some time.

6)A great night weather wise so that wasn't an excuse for fans not to be there. Tony said that he felt bad for Dave Blaney as he left him at the airport in PA. He said that he hoped Dave wasn't mad at him since Dave was his ride back to Pocono.

7)The support classes were both good and bad. Thankfully they set a time limit so they could stay on schedule. They ran features only and the street stock feature went the entire distance of 15 laps with Barney Craig winning again. This guy knows how to win at Eldora.

The modified feature was not good at all. They only completed 7 laps before the time limit came into effect. Numerous spins and wrecks and the checkered flag thankfully ended this before the crowd got any more restless. Eldora now has double file restarts for the support divisions. Kind of interesting to watch.

I seen it on tv a few times not as much as in the past but it was a good race and they added 10 laps so it was a 40 lap race and Smoke scared the crap out of DW in the 2 seater Late Model he was yelling for him to stop it was awesome sure it will be on YouTube soon!

Surprised she didn't grant an interview with her personal schill ole DW. I figured if she did halfway decent last night, that DW would proclaim that she invented dirt track racing.

It was a pretty good show last night. Best part was watching and listening to DW ride around in the two seater with Smoke!

I really thought they would have worked the track in a lil before the feature.

Was one of the better Preludes. Kahne certainly appeared to have things well under control until he drilled Bobby Labonte who had to of been stopped for a long time. Too bad for Kasey and car owner Chris Madden, he was clearly the cream of the crop. It looked to me like the crowd was way up from last year. Still some empty seats but appeared to me that Danica and maybe even King Kinser and Schatz sold them a few tickets. Kinser wrecked on the second attempt to start the race, which was a big disappointment but Schatz looked real good running around the bottom and finished fourth and was really coming on at the end. All in all a fun night with money raised for a great cause - Feed the Children.
