This will be the 50th Anniversary of one of the most celebrated races on the USAC sprint car schedule. There will be an event shirt available at the race which will list the previous winners on the back, as well a 50th Anniversary commerative logo in the design. You may view the shirt at www.indyscreenprint.com later this afternoon. The price will be $18.00 for white and $20.00 for colors. Only 144 of these souvenir shirts will be available, and they may be purchased at the track or you may call us for mail order. From initial response word of mouth, they will sell quickly. Thanks

Too bad that USAC is going to get rid of the sprint car pavement series. Looks like the 50th will be the very last one. What a shame and shame on USAC. Are there anyone still at the USAC office who have ever even owned a sprint car or midget? Sorry, knowing that this will be the last one has me a bit twisted up.

It won't be the last one, the car on the tshirt for next year will more than likely have a wing on it though.

If they put wings on that series is dead. Why not drop the requirement for the HANS ? A lot of the wing guys say that is what is stopping them from running now.

Does that mean USAC pavement sprints will have wings in '10 or HOSS or AVSS will sanction the event in '10 or...? Just curious.

I hadn't heard that USAC was getting rid of the pavement series. Where was this info posted?

***? Why on earth are/would they get rid of the pavement sprints. What about the history and the memories, not to mention the legends who have been brave enough to try and run "the hills". USAC... You better get your head out of there

I doubt you will see USAC go to wings in 2010.
