Did anybody wonder if Grants car was safe after repairs? It looked kind of sketchy to Me. I realize the taped the old bent shock to the new unit due to not being able to disconnect the cable but I saw what appeared to be a leg of the jacobs ladder poking down....

This was a great race! Wow Robert came from way back and I am sure Kyle was shocked with second. That was crazy close!

Great race! I incorrectly assumed it was gonna rain, flew in late Friday so I'd be rested up for Saturday, but got lucky & made it just in time for both features
5 different leaders... best start of all the podium finishers was 7th. Congratulations to Ballou for his long awaited win from 11th!
The other thing that surprised me was even tho Eldora is famous for winning on the outside, leaders for most of the race were running the bottom. Then along comes Ballou for the win on top... & he looked pretty far back entering turn 4. Surprised the hell out of me & made me question some of my prejudice against 1/2 mile tracks

Rev, you correctly point out the bottom dwellers, and thanks be to God, both races were won on the fence, as it should be at Eldora. They have neutered the track. Anyone that says different must have bought into a 1984, Orwellian theory. I still love it but wish we could back in time. Congratulations to Robert and Sheldon

100% agree on them neutering the track. I still like it but not like before, used to I’d get goosebumps at the thought of going there now it’s just another track. And to think they did it to appease nascar makes it worse.

If I heard the post race interview right, Ballou said he was "being a little girl" until he decided to run up top!

I'm not a pavement fan at all, but Dr. Funkenstein convinced me to check out Winchester tomorrow (Might as well, right?) Thats pretty much what he said about the banking & speed.
He also convinced me to watch TTs from the infield tonite for the same reason. But I'm glad I watched from the stands last nite, cause I would have missed last turn victory for Ballou. I like to see the whole track!

Dang Right Mike, A Slider in three in the 80s 90s got the whole grandstand on their feet to see if they wouldn't auger into fours wall. now it's a slow drift across the track ballet.

I've seen some great races on the new track as well. But it's not the badassest of badass tracks. that it was.

winchester speedway is great. I have not been there in quite sometime. I am trying to find someone to ride up with me Sunday. Just finished firing up my Mercury and tuning up my Mini.

half miles are where it's at IMO. The rest are basically midget tracks.
