I just heard from USAC that they provide $50,000 excess for Regional Midgets -
which kicks in after your primary health insurance - if your primary won't pay then the USAC$50,000 becomes primary - which is not all that much if it is a serous accident |

I dug into this earlier this year to understand how everything works. Here is what I found out.
USAC insurance is a secondary insurance and unless you are racing national is only $50,000, with that being said if your personal/ employer insurance finds out you are racing for prize money they will not cover you and at that point you will only have the track insurance and the USAC insurance. I opted to get STIDA, because of the uncertainty of my employers health insurance covering me in an incident that I am taking an ambulance to the hospital. I believe his best plan is around $500 Hope this is helpful. |
