SAMMY BAHR RECUPERATING

Long-time USAC official and mechanic Sammy Bahr is recuperating at home in Fountain Valley, Calif. after suffering leg injuries in a pit accident last Saturday night at Perris (Calif.) Auto Speedway. He underwent two surgeries at a Riverside hospital to address a shattered tibia and fractured fibula in his left leg and additional surgery is expected. He has served as a USAC/CRA pit steward for the past six years. USAC extends its get-well wishes.

He was hit by a car that was being pushed by a quad.

Seems like the quad driver should've seen him and stopped but the situation can be several ways. Either way praying for a speedy recovery!
