I see where the Steel Block Sprints are running for $1K on 9/17. That tells me the normal payout throughout the year is less.

Out of curiosity, what are the open 410 sprints running for when they have their periodic go? I am just wondering what various tracks pay their open sprint races these days.

Hate to be the spelling police but some things have to be corrected. They could have at least spelled "The One Armed Bandit" Chuck Amati's name correctly. It's Amati not Armati.

This could get interesting with 2 tracks running on the same night that are not that far apart. It could mean more money on some of the races. A smart racer would go to the track with the best payback.

There’s a lot of options to run a sprint car this year.
Fridays-Gas City, Bloomington and Rock Crest.
Saturdays-Lincoln Park, Paragon, Tri State and Lawrenceburg.
Sundays-Kokomo and Circle City. And some Rock Crest shows as well.

I think the steel block sprints will make up a majority of the cars on an open 410 night at paragon.
The two that have the biggest question mark is probably Rock Crest and Bloomington. They’ll be fighting for cars the nights they both run. We’ll see how it all plays out. Might be some small fields at some tracks this summer.

Lincoln Park and Bloomington have the sun at your backs on hot summer days. This is a big plus for the fans as the usually have shade by race time. At Paragon you set there with the hot sun on you till the sun goes down. I don't think Bloomington or Lincoln Park will have any trouble getting a full field sprint cars. I'd say sprint cars at these 2 tracks will be running for a little bigger purse than last year.
