Hello I’m new to the non-wing Sprint car scene. Are most of the USAC guys running 96.0/14.0-15 or 96.0/14.0W-15 or is it all personal preference

Depends upon the size of the track, the amount of banking and track conditions along with personal preference. Your likely to run some 94's on some of the smaller tracks.

A 14w tire is typically used on a drier type race track, as it has a 1 inch wider tread width thus helping the car have a little more left rear drive.
Some guys get their left rear drive the way they set up their car and prefer to run the narrow tire, some guys do things differently and like the wide tire.
