So apparently Tony can dish it out, but can't take it. And he called Ballou a pissy babby.

From another post on here Chief, he is suspended from USAC along with Kokomo, Eldora, and Burg. So from that , I would assume that the Key Industry Track Partners were, the OConners , Rudisell and Stewart. Kinda the “Chosen” ones, aka 3 Amigos. Just a sleuthing guess though.

“Talked to Ballou last night. I'm not sure if it's been stated on here yet so sorry if this is repeated. His suspension not only covers usac races but extends to any race at Kokomo, Eldora or the Burg. He's limited on what he can run the rest of the year.”

Thank you for the info. Now we know who the cry babies are. I like the fact that Terre Haute is not listed. He blasted conditions there and what did they do? Not go crying to USAC, but actually fixed the track. Last several races have been best track conditions I’ve seen in years.

So PHONY Stewart, The O Conners, and Rudisell are the key industry partners?? Wow. That makes quite a group to base your series around. A promoter and track in Ohio that wants to appease NASCAR, who has proven that once he became big time, his little ego gets hurt when challenged. A promoter and track in SE Indiana that was resurrected from ruins by big time casino money. And finally what should be considered the best track and promoters in Indiana “who are always looked upon that way”, but are sensitive to some warranted criticism. This really changes my whole outlook on the Indiana racing scene.

Kind of funny that after all of this the track at Lawrenceburg was real racey. I guess Ballou knew what he was talking about as the racing was real good. Would like to know if the interview on R.I.P. the fence is what got the O Conners upset. Sounded like there is some issue with them and Ballous boss. We had better leave Eldora and Phony Stewart to cry in his crib.

Sorry Spridge, you can come on here with your facts post all you want. I’ve watched you in action and have gone back and forth with you before on other forums. This was a witch hunt and nothing more. Wonder what the other teams that have issue with USAC and these three always perfect facilities will do. Better not criticize or you get suspended. Pretty pathetic.

This is far from a witch hunt. I like Robert, but this has been brewing for a long time

You left some bigger players off the list.

This unprecedented move by USAC proves that things said by you might have a level of truth. While sometimes over the top, your points are valid and should be taken seriously. USAC and it’s partners pride themselves on their presence in the world of social media. Once that presence is tarnished with some harsh truths it’s clear they don’t like challenge.

Secondly it’s crystal clear that when you challenge Indiana’s racing hero from Columbus in a way that he at one time would conduct himself he is just as soft as the rest. I find it funny that this blew up because of the comments about Eldora. Yes Robert Ballou has pushed the envelope many times before. Similar to things the almighty Smoke would do. Funny how when the tables were turned, he lashes back instead of admitting that what he offered for last years 4 crown he fell short.Ballous mistake was that he thought maybe it would be the wet, tall curb track he was promised given to the teams this year. Tony Stewart is revered in big ways by the USAC faithful, but I don’t see what he really gives back now that he can. He has removed all of his teams from the 3 series. He takes ownership of a WING group that run all over the neighboring state funelling money into it instead of usac. His track in Ohio has reduced the number of visits per year to two. One event he uses the sprint cars as an undercard to the god awful boring Outlaws. The second visit he has turned into a circus with putting his wing group on the nite of the 4 crown. Now he gets challenged by one of the USAC drivers who doesn’t let up and pulls this crap to get him suspended. Those who want to defend Stewart til the death please save it. I was a fan because he was out spoken and brought lite to issues. Now when challenged by Ballou he turns into Bill France. No bueno.

Thank you Robert Ballou for being a bad ass on the track and being who you are off of the track. To USAC I want to thank you for ruining my first ever Oval Nationals trip this year with your spineless decision. To the owner of Eldora speedway please enjoy the mockery of the track you have created and enjoy the bed you share with NASCAR. You have proven that all of those tough guy years were just a farce.

I am a fan of the Madman. Unfortunately it will never be the same again. Racing in USAC for him will be a joke and since there is no money in any other non wing racing he might just go back west.
You knocked the cover off the ball, Dude! Couldn't have said it better. Been a Smoke fan going back to 90's, backed him up with every tirade, outburst and fit he ever threw, but this is too much. He dishes it out for decades and somebody throws some back his way and this is how he responds, by lowering the boom and pulling every political lever he can get his hands on. No thanks, Smoke. We're done.

The stuff I have heard is not direct. I can see things, and know how they work. It wouldn't take a real smart ambulance chasing lawyer to use Robert's quotes to cause the sport some real problems. A good lawyer could probably do even more under the right circumstances. That is just based on my personal experience. I know that was never Robert's intentions, but that is how things work.
