I recently ran across this old ticket stub from the 'Burg. It wasn't just the affordable price, it was also the roster of great drivers you got to see. For a buck seventy five during this time you saw names like Dick Gaines, Cecil Beavers, Calvin Gilstrap, Wayne Wolf, Bob Kinser, Bill Dugger, Ross Smith, Butch Wilkerson, Jim "Bob" Luebbert, Bob Papoy, Sheldon Kinser, Orval Yeadon, Mike Johnson, Larry Miller, Allen Barr, Roy Robbins, Don Jackson, Bobby Black, Rex Mitchell, Jess Kinder, Don Nordhorn, Carl Williams, Stan Bowman, Gil Hess, etc., etc....I'm sure I've overlooked several other great names, these are just the ones off the top of my head. I'll probably recall even more after sending this.
