Joe, whenever I get the chance to see Bloomquist race he is usually crying or whining about something. I knew he had protested after this race but had no idea it was taken this far. Just another reason why I will be cheering for anyone else in the field to beat him whenever I see him race. Which is usually only one group of races a year during the winter late model series of races in Tucson. Something tells me it could be interesting to see what happends after his next win, will he be the next in line to take a lie detector test?

Love him or hate him, (there's no middle ground with this fella) he's the master of the mind****. He does and says things on a regular basis to make his own fans alternately scratch their heads or cackle with glee, never mind how polarizing a figure he is to the rest of the late model world. I'm a long, long, looong time fan, but even I have no doubt that while all this was going down, he was up to something of his own. That's just how Black Sunshine rolls.

I could care less about the whining, but the lie detector , *** ? who has money to waste on this crap. I hate the whiners though, Black Sunshine ? Knew a Black Sunshine once, she was a dancin fool.

The old saying "The guy who yells about cheating the loudest is usually the cheater".

This morning was the first I'd heard of the lie detector test. Have to admit, I thought it was a joke at first. Then I just chuckled and reminded myself that it was the late models. They've been trying to enforce tire rules for what seems like eons now. People don't talk about who sets fast time at the North/South, they talk about whose tires were impounded in the infield in front of God and everybody. All the ruckus about "tiregate" at Golden Isles a few years ago has outlasted the track. It's gotten to the point where if someone is having an unexpectedly good night, well then they "musta soaked their tars". As serious as the allegations (and health ramifications) can be, listening to the keyboard commandos go at it can be entertaining. Part of me thinks that WoO dragged this out as long as they did just to ramp up hits on their site, especially considering it involved drivers who aren't even regulars on their tour. The lie detector test, though, is the *** moment of the week so far...

I thought it was a joke as well. I guess since a small potatoes $30,000 to win late model purse is nearly unheard of in non-wing, it would be hard to understand! Before you jump down my socialist Canadian throat, I'm just giving you guys a hard time! I think the polygraph is stupid, apparently it's used in Bassmaster's and body building competitions as well. Smells too much like wrestling tabloid TV and entertainment then racing. I'd say protesting tires is totally fine.

The race was at Lernerville, PA.

I'm a-ok with protesting if you think someone cheated to beat you. If you're protesting just to raise a stink or because of sour grapes, then beans on ya.

My question is why was the lie detector even necessary? The photoionization detectors that they use on the tires to detect softening compounds are pretty much fool proof. A serious *** moment in the world of racing is indeed correct.
