Kurtis Offy Midget Chassis
Absolutely Beautiful !
This Car is a project that never was completed.
The frame is a Arlen Kurtis Kit that was purchased in the Early 1990’s
The owner at that time. A Professional Machinist continued building the car with detail to Kurtis Kraft specs.
The all aluminum body was built by Jim Allen Fresno CA. (AKA The Tin Man)
Jim built the bodies for Arlen Kurtis in the 90’s for the Arlen Kurtis Continuation Cars. The Body is the closest reproduction Kurtis body that I have ever seen. Every detail was very correctly reproduced.
The Car is very complete with many correct NOS and some good used parts. It has been fitted to for a Offenhauser Engine with Riley Carbs. Engine plates and clevises included.
Halibrand Brakes, New Schroder steering components. Very nice Halibrand tapered axle rear-end with torque tube and drive shaft. Stewart Warner early gages. Period correct aircraft fuel filter and valve.
The oil tank, seat, Fire wall, and all aluminum panels are new and are of the highest quality craftsmanship.
Fuel tank is Original Kurtis Kraft.
Radiator is correct 4” core. New upholstery.
I have spoken with two other owners of Arlen Kurtis Continuation Cars Both of them confirmed that they spent up wards of 15 to 20K to purchase their cars in the mid 1990’s that were not nearly complete as this car.
