Jarett Andretti is looking for a midget ride for the Rumble In Fort Wayne at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum on Friday, Dec. 27, and Saturday, December 28. He gave the ok to post it online. This message is to car owners out there. Who has an open car?

Send me a PM.

Thanks,
Tony Barhorst

We have more drivers looking for midget rides for Fort Wayne. We have not had any owners step up...we think there are a lot of VW powered cars sitting in storage. Let's have a bit of fun here and anyone who may know where cars are sitting...let us know. It would be interesting.

Does Jerry Covington still have his midget?

Costs too much to bring those VW powered cars out of storage! Pay more money to those other than the 14 that make the feature and maybe a few more would come out!
Entry fees, pit passes, tires, motel, etc.... equals $$$$.00
Too much!

With all due respect, we are talking about possible car rentals here, so that is not the issue. Maybe someone would buy the cars. It certainly doesn't hurt to talk about it.
We have been asked by drivers to look around. That is what I am doing here.

Just minutes after my last post, Kyle Hamilton threw his hat into the ring on Facebook not knowing about this thread. He is looking, but not to rent. He finished 2nd to Smoke two years ago, and knows the track well. This thread is to just get information out there that the public usually doesn't see. I get these questions every year, and the drivers don't mind that I have posted it.

J.T. Stapp is looking also.He is a Rumble guy from back in the day at the First year at Toledo, the one and only Rumble in the FargoDome and a couple of Rumbles in the RCA Dome and always ran well!

If you would be open to allowing chain drive, some older mini sprint chassis / d2 midgets and older motors could be bought and built pretty much super cheap and put out there. One good thing with that combo is the lack of need of a push truck. Please don't shoot the messenger for this as this is just a thought and it might open some doors for some.

I'd hope if more kinds of cars are added to the "national" midget class; the starting feat field would be increased...

Track is too small to start more than 14-16 cars.
