I talked to Dan several times in the garage over the years. He could drive a race car and he treated you like he was your friend. He never tought he was better than anybody. I'm pretty gutted today. Some drivers don't get the overall picture, they just think you hold a steering wheel. Dan Wheldon got it. RIP to a champion. Posted via Mobile Device
So tragic. We all feel an emptiness and disbelief. Dan was friendly and fast. He always took time to talk with fans or pose for pictures. He will be missed at home with his lovely family and by his racing family at IndyCar. RIP
One of the best ever at Indy for the time he was there. Sunday was a real tough day around our house telling our 8 year old what had happened. Dan the man. She was a big fan of Dan as was our family. sad sad day. Prayers for the Wheldon family.
