We have 6 of our racing families members making our first trip to usa Raceway for the finals. Any suggestions on things to do and whatever information that would be helpful. Hope to meet some of you guys out there. Thanks.

A few might include: Pima Air and Space Museum, Titan Missile Museum, Asarco Mineral Discovery Center, Arizona Sonoran Desert Museum, Tucson Premium Outlets, a trip up the Mount Lemon Highway, Sabino Canyon, Tombstone, several nearby casinos, hiking in Madera Canyon. Also note there is a rather large bike race on Saturday a.m. that goes right by the track entrance. I like Mi Nidito for Mexican food, Luke's Roast Beef, and there is always In-N-Out, Five Guys, and all the others...Enjoy

I'll be there, too. Tucson is a great town with tons of things to see as mentioned previously. Pima Air Museum isn't far from the track and is a must for aviation fans. The aircraft boneyard at the air force base across the street from Pima is cool as well and you can see a lot of planes while driving down Kolb Rd. lined up row after row after row. Check it out on Google Map aerials.

Every year I go to Tubac AZ, less than 50 miles south of Tucson on I-19 and always find something to purchase from the over 80 artists shops. Too much to describe so I suggest that you Google it. My favorite restaurant is La Parilla Suiza, which features Mexico City cuisine. It has dishes I haven't seen elsewhere, but everything I have ever had is really, really good. They have some of the best mole I have ever tasted. Just tonight I had mole chicken enchiladas which were absolutely great. A short drive south of Tucson, on the way to Tubac, is the stunning Mission San Xavier del Bac, "White Dove of the Desert". Your motel should have a rack which will tell you about other interesting places.

All good suggestions. Remember, just like Perris, Tucson does get cold when the sun goes down.

When I was in Tucson to announce the Copper on Dirt a few years back, I noticed people setting up tables and chairs by the side of the road just outside of town. Never tried it, but my friends were eating there three or four times a day and say it was the best Mexican food they had ever tried.

Where can I get more information on the bike race? I ran into it several years ago and some of the streets were closed. When does it begin/end?

The bike race does tie up traffic. Info can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/ElTourdeTucson/ Mountains are covered w snow today. But forecast is for near 80's Thu-Sat.

Try a Sonoran Hotdog while here. It is a bacon wrapped hotdog with salsa, beans, etc.
