Does anybody know if they replaced these on the frontstretch or they still have the old ones?
I’m trying to find a seating chart if so.

Heard they were gonna wait until 2023 to do it. They are however adding the crushed asphalt to the pits, similar to gas city. Should help eliminate some of those rainouts where the pits are too muddy

Its hard for me to remember any questionable rainout calls at Kokomo. I thought the Staff always gave 100% to get a race in. Maybe your thinking of some other track(s)

By questionable, I mean because the pits are too muddy. I guess I should have phrased it better.

You were dead on with that statement. Many times they would have to delay the pit gate opening due to water and heavy mud in the pits and you would see them trying to get the pit area in a usable condition. They put some crushed asphalt in the back of the pits late last year and it really helped so hopefully they get
the rest of the pit area done. it will be a huge improvement and I know they're always upgrading the facility!

It really sucks trying to drag a jack around in crushed asphalt like at Lawrenceburg!

Getting back to the initial question.... I have always enjoyed the front stretch side seating and did not seem to have a problem with the current grandstands. I do admit with the exciting Kokomo action, I am more concerned with the racing than the grandstands.

There are many things to consider when upgrading the front stretch stands. You have the scoring box, the restrooms, the concession area, office area. Not just as simple as building a new stand.
