Henderson Seeking New Sprint Car Ride

SIOUX FALLS, S.D., Jan. 4 — Popular sprint car driver Justin Henderson is available to join another top sprint car team for the 2013 season, as he and Blazin Racin parted ways on Thursday.

“I want to thank Todd, Susan and Larissa LaHaise for everything they’ve done for me in the past six months,” Henderson said. “I also want to thank my crew chief/team manager, Greg McCormick, and give special thanks to Dean, Andrea and everyone else from Blazin Racin who helped out along the way.

“I also want to thank my product sponsors for always standing behind me,” he added. “They include Hinchman Racewear, ButlerBuilt Professional Seat Systems, Bell Helmets, Rod End Supply, Winters Performance, KSE Racing Products, Saldana Racing Products, Weld Wheels, Outerwears, Oakley and Restart Communications.

“I’m looking forward to the next opportunity to race hard and win races,” he added.

Blazin Racin enjoyed a great deal of success after car owners Todd and Susan LaHaise hired Henderson to drive their Buffalo Wild Wings No. 82 last June. Some of their accomplishments included a fourth at the Kings Royal at Eldora (Ohio) Speedway; making the A main at the Knoxville Nationals in Knoxville, Iowa and winning that event’s preliminary feature on Friday, and victories with the World of Outlaws, the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series (ASCS) and the Interstate Racing Association (IRA) Outlaw Sprints. Those victories included events at Huset’s Speedway in Brandon, S.D.; LoneStar Speedway in Kilgore, Texas and Beaver Dam Raceway in Beaver Dam, Wis., in addition to Knoxville.

In addition to competing with the World of Outlaws and other sprint car groups, Henderson raced on the tough Central Pennsylvania circuit in recent years with Sorokach Motorsports.

Justin,

I wish you the very best in finding a top quality ride for the upcoming season. You have shown time and again, especially 2012, that you have the natural talent to run on the WOO tour and win. This was evident again with your accomplishments in the short time you were with the Blazin Racin Team. Your drive on the Friday night program of the Knoxville Nationals was nothing short of phenomenal. You excited the entire crowd with your win and seeing you get a standing ovation was great. I am praying that you have continued success and that your 2013 season is even more outstanding than 2012 was.

I appreciate what you and your father (Rod) did for my team at the Knoxville Nationals a few years ago. You helped us find additional speed that allowed us to move up a few races on the final night. Thank You!!

There is a top car owner out there that recognizes your talent, winning attitude and professionalism and you will be back in the Winners Circle again. Let’s see if they are wise enough to grab you since you are available.

Best of luck in 2013 to Justin. Had a good 2012 where he won a few races at Knoxville (including Friday night at Nationals) and a 4th place at the King's Royal at Eldora with a new team.
