I am building a mini sprint and had a question about where the brand name cars locate their engines. What is the typical distance from the center of the front sprocket to the center of the rear axle?

How tight can you get it to the firewall? That is more the question.

I can remove the motor plate and build a new firewall. It looks like it could be installed as close as 34" from the output shaft to the rear axle without causing problems in the cockpit. Has anyone ever tried this?

I don't want to build a car that has a front end push problem. I'm not really sure how far I can go before that happens.
