Me and John didn't agree on much but racing. He was pleasant enough to talk with and we could talk through things we didn't agree on. He'd been in ill health the last few years but was still making races last year.
Sad to learn of his passing. R.I.P. John. Had a album called Johnny and the Thunderheads

I met John over 25 years ago at Eldora. Sat and talked with him a little at Eldora last October. To his credit he put out a racing cd that he composed and sang on in the 90's. I had my differences on subjects with him too but we got along. R.I.P. old friend.
