For 2013 Fontana has many new exciting changes and challenges. We understand the ongoing price struggle on engines for teams and car owners competing in all organizations for midget racing. We are pleased to be able to announce that we have done a lot of hard work and development for 2013, and one of the challenges to meet was to be able to get prices for new engines down. We have done it! For 2013 Fontana would like to introduce the Spec6 engine. This engine is the same engine we have run for the last couple of years. It has been streamlined and has a new outlook going into the 2013 season. It has the same block, head, rotating assembly, gear drive, and accessories of the past engine but has a valve terrain that has had a lot of work over the last month and streamlined to reduce the cost of this engine. This engine is a very strong asset to the budget racer with a smooth power curve, great torque, and tremendous reliability! It will be the workhorse for Fontana on 1/5 to 3/8 mile race tracks, both dirt and pavement alike. It comes complete with MSD Ignition, Waterman Fuel Pump, Schoenfeld Header, your choice of Kinsler or Engler Injection Unit, and K&N Air Filter Assembly. The Spec6 engine will sell complete for $25,000.00, with a standard rebuild being between 25 to 30 races depending on race conditions. The average rebuild cost will be between $4,500.00 to $5,500.00.
