This post is possibly the birth of the DII Midget concept. Thanks to Wayne Davis and Bill May. Now we have 2 National Organizations PowrI and USAC endorsing the concept. Bill May first coined the name (DII or D2 ) on page 2 of this thread in IOW.

The job now is to prove that it works. Hopefully the impossible dream of cost containment for the competitor can be controlled to some degree. The Secret will be in the use of Stock blocks heads and cranks. The biggest governor however will be in making sure that the rule for stock unaltered ports remains enforced.

It has been a long time Wayne Davis. But it looks like it's here to stay. Do you remember when that light switch clicked on in your head and you realized that the "Lightning Sprint" you were racing was in Fact a "Midget"!!

I'd just be happy with a tech help section like this site used to have!

Dave

For some reason Bill felt it best to take it down and combine it with the rest of the banter going back and forth. I guess he felt it would increase the readership of the main Bord. My last PM from him was about me and the tec Section. If you got a question ask it, bet it gets answered.
